  For the Month of May 1968
  
  In May 1968, 1,794 isolations of saLmonellae were reported from humans, an average of 359 isolations per week (TabLes I, II, and V-A). This number represents an increase of 6L (20.5 percent) over the weekly average of April 1968 and an increase of 1 (0.3 percent) over the weekly average of May 1967.
  
  Reports of 853 nonhuman isolations of salmonellae were received during May 1968 (TabLes III, IV, and V-B).
