Description:The twentieth meeting of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) Board of Scientific Counselors (BSC) took place via teleconference on Monday, August 1, 2016. The BSC met in closed session for secondary review in accordance with the Privacy Act and the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). Dr. Stephen Hargarten served as chair.
This meeting was closed to the public in accordance with the determination that it was concerned with matters exempt from mandatory disclosure under Sections 552b© and 552b©(6), title 5, U.S. Code and Section 10(d) of the Federal Advisory committee Act, as amended (5U.S.C. Appendix 2). The Scientific Review Officer explained policies and procedures regarding avoidance of conflict of interest situations; voting and priority rating; and confidentiality of applications in which there was a potential conflict of interest, real or apparent.
