Description:This module is part of the Alzheimer’s Association curriculum, A Public Health Approach to Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias. Developed as part of a cooperative agreement with CDC’s Healthy Aging Program, and in partnership with Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, this curriculum addresses cognitive health, cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer’s disease and is for use by undergraduate faculty in schools and programs of public health.
Module 3: Alzheimer’s Disease – What is the Role of Public Health? briefly describes the Alzheimer’s disease epidemic in the U.S., followed by a discussion of three tools of public health that may play significant roles in mitigating the Alzheimer’s disease crisis.
