Description:The Newborn Screening Contingency Plan Framework (known as the Framework) was developed in 2010 and the document was revised in 2015-16 in partnership with federal, state, local, and non-governmental organizations engaged in aspects of the newborn screening community. This is the first update to the Framework as it relates to newborn screening, which includes screening for hearing loss and Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD).
