  From its very inception and launch 12 years ago, the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) was created with the recognition that achiev- ing its ambitious goals would not be possible alone and thus partner- ships were recognized as central to PMI’s malaria control efforts. PMI continues to maintain robust partnerships at the country, regional, and international levels to support NMCPs to expand the impact of malaria control activities. PMI works closely with the government of each fo- cus country and with local and international partners to ensure that investments are strategically aligned with the country’s overall malaria control plan, while leveraging financial and technical support from other partners.
