This historic aerial view, looking towards the west, depicts the appearance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) geographic presence in 1967. Building 1 is seen at the far right.

Still the Atlanta, Georgia headquarters of this Federal organization, many architectural changes have taken place since this by-gone time, involving not only the CDC's physical plan, but the surrounding landscape as well. Emory University, on the far left outside the parameters of this image, which would be east of the CDC, and has also grown leaps and bounds over the past 43 years.
