    Ang Anthrax ay isang lubhang nakahahawang sakit na sanhi ng bakteryang dulot ng gram-positive at bakteryang hugis-baras na kilala bilang Bacillus anthracis. Ang Anthrax ay likas na nakikita sa lupa at karaniwang nakaaapekto sa domestic at mga ligaw na hayop sa buong mundo. Bagaman bihira ito sa Estados Unidos, maaaring magkasakit ang mga tao ng anthrax kung nalalantad sila ng mga hayop na nagtataglay ng impeksyon o ng mga kontaminadong produkto na nagmula sa hayop.
