Description:The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force published a new recommendation to test for latent TB infection in populations at increased risk. The TB community has a unique opportunity to use the announcement of this recommendation to draw attention to latent TB infection and educate the public, health care providers, at-risk populations, and policy makers on the importance of targeted testing and treatment for latent TB infection.
