In 2014, more than 9,000 healthcare professionals experienced workplace violence related injuries that required days away from work. To address this issue, NIOSH developed an award-winning, online Workplace Violence Prevention Course for Nurses. This course educates healthcare professionals on the scope and nature of violence and how to prevent it in the workplace.
