Description:Healthcare workers face the risk of physical and non-physical violence on the job. In 2014, more than 9,000 healthcare professionals experienced workplace violence related injuries that required days away from work. To address this issue, NIOSH developed an award-winning, online Workplace Violence Prevention Course for Nurses. This course educates healthcare professionals on the scope and nature of violence and how to prevent it in the workplace. Publication withdrawn in October 2023.
