Description:The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) convened a meeting of its Advisory Committee to the Director (ACD) on April 21, 2016 at the Arlen Specter Headquarters and Emergency Operations Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The agenda included updates from the CDC Director; review and discussion of current issues, including the Zika response, the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA), and CDC’s Prescription Drug Overdose Guidelines; reports and discussion from ACD workgroups; an update on the response in Flint, Michigan; an update on CDC’s laboratory safety efforts; and a discussion of future ACD agenda items.
