Description:"The National Children's Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and Safety strives to enhance the health and safety of all children exposed to hazards associated with agricultural work and rural environments." This issue includes the following articles. 1) The Safety in Agriculture for Youth (SAY) project team meets in Washington, D.C. 2) Parent First, Farmer Second - The practice of parents teaching children how to farm and ranch. 3) "Prevention Briefs" cover key areas of injury. 4) Youth garden safety featured in new resource. 5) Future of surveillance - Children's Center project attempts to "fill the gaps" in childhood agricultural injury data. 6) Three mini-grants announced for 2015 to: a) "The South Central Pennsylvania Anabaptist YouthTrauma Prevention Consortium (AYTPC): A Regional Syndicate for the Prevention of Rural Trauma in Anabaptist Youth"; b) "Safe Children on Georgia Farms: Implementing A Statewide NAGCAT Training Program through Georgia Women in Agriculture Association (GWIAA)"; and c) "Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission's Manoomin Canoe Safety Project 2014-2015". 7) Scientific advisors meet in Madison.
