Description:PEACH trial data were used to evaluate the relationship between subsequent sexually transmitted infection and recurrent pelvic inflammatory disease on infertility and chronic pelvic pain (CPP). Recurrent pelvic inflammatory disease was associated with an almost 2-fold increase in infertility and more than 4-fold increase in CPP. Subsequent sexually transmitted infection was associated with CPP, but not infertility.
