Description:El rastreo de contactos puede frenar en seco el brote del ébola. El rastreo de contactos consiste en encontrar a todas las personas que estuvieron en contacto directo con un paciente con ébola. Se vigila a los contactos para detectar signos de enfermedad durante 21 días, a partir del último día en que tuvieron contacto con el paciente con ébola. Si el contacto presenta fiebre u otros síntomas del ébola, se aísla inmediatamente, se le hacen pruebas, se le da atención médica, y el ciclo empieza otra vez: se busca a todos los contactos del nuevo paciente y se les vigila por 21 días.
