Description:Heart disease death rates can differ considerably within a congressional district. These maps highlight the patterns in county−level heart disease death rates within this congressional district.
The map for Congressional District 1 in South Dakota shows that heart disease death rates (ages 35+, 2021 - 2023) for counties (or partial counties) in the district range from 58 - 503 per 100,000. For South Dakota and the United States, heart disease death rates are 317 and 374 per 100,000, respectively. There are a total of 37 Federally Qualified Health Centers in District 1.
