Description:Single stage impactors for cotton dust sampling were evaluated. The impactors, fabricated of 37 millimeter cassette pieces, had inlet hole sizes of 0.55, 0.64, and 0.75 centimeter (cm) which corresponded to 50 percent cutoff diameters of 12, 15, and 19 micrometers), respectively. The authors note that none of the impactors met the OSHA equivalency requirement. [Description provided by NIOSH]
