Description:Sound pressure level measurements are made in a plastics working shop of a museum where various power saws and other tools are used in fabricating exhibits. A potential hearing loss problem is found to exist, and recommendations are made for employee preplacement and periodic audiometric tests, reduction of noise exposure by relocation or isolation of the panel saw and use of sound absorptive material in the room, and provision of personal protective equipment to employees.
