Description:The health hazards of the principal dyeing and printing processes used in the textile industry were assessed. Each process assessment includes a description of the equipment used, worker responsibilities relative to specific process equipment, specific dyeing processes by dye application class for fiber types processed, and the adverse health effects of process chemicals. A summary assessment, emergent technologies, and references are provided.
