Description:Safety concerns in the petrochemical industry (SIC-5172) are reviewed in 26 abstracts of original journal articles and conference papers from 1976 through 1979. Safety considerations in petroleum refining are specifically excluded. Most of the abstracts focus on solutions to specific safety problems. Topics include facility design and construction, development of facility safety programs, hazard analysis, explosion prevention, fire control systems, equipment inspection, automatic control systems, and loss prevention.
