Survey for N-nitroso compounds at Colgate-Palmolive Company, Jersey City, N.J.

  Environmental surveys were conducted on April 15, 1980, to determine whether N-nitroso compounds were present or formed in surfactants and detergents produced at the Colgate Palmolive Company (SIC-2841) in Jersey City, New Jersey. Air and bulk samples were collected from areas in the facility where these compounds could have been present. No N-nitroso compounds were found in the atmosphere on the day of sampling. The author notes that no amines were used at this facility. [Description provided by NIOSH]
