Description:This document has been superseded and the new version can be found here. This compact disc (CD) contains a selection of databases and documents that are available on the NIOSH website (https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/). In addition, this CD contains the OSHA Sampling and Analytical Methods and the 2000 Emergency Response Guidebook which are available on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration website (http://www.osha.gov) and the Department of Transportation website (http://phmsa.dot.gov/hazmat), respectively. The major advantage of accessing the files on this CD is that an Internet connection is not needed, and the software applications required for this CD are the same as those commonly used for Internet access. The databases included on this CD are: 1) Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health Concentrations (IDLHs); 2) International Chemical Safety Cards (WHO/IPCS/ILO); 3) NIOSH Manual of Analytical Methods (NMAM); 4) NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards (NPG); 5) OSHA Sampling and Analytical Methods; 6) Recommendations for Chemical Protective Clothing; 7) Specific Medical Tests Published for OSHA Regulated Substances; 8) Toxicologic Review of Selected Chemicals; and 9) 2000 Emergency Response Guidebook. The NIOSH Certified Equipment List (CEL) as of March 31, 2002 is contained in a subdirectory. Features are included for users of Windows 9x, 2000, Me, and NT; and for users of other operating systems (e.g., Windows 3.1, Macintosh, etc.). The CD includes Windows and Macintosh versions of Netscape Communicator and Adobe Acrobat Reader. [Description provided by NIOSH]
