Description:A method is described for comparing solid sorbents for specific adsorption of vapors. The apparatus consists of a gas chromatograph. An empirical classification of observed adsorptions is suggested, and data are presented for benzene and carbon tetrachloride on several batches of charcoal. Some possible applications of the data from the test method such as screening, desorption efficiencies and migration, and specifications are discussed. [Description provided by NIOSH]
