  The behavioral accident simulator (bas) is a computer program that can be used to simulate accident situations. It demonstrates how the potential to have an accident grows or diminishes as a result of changes in various environmental, organizational, and behavioral factors. It calculates the number of fatalities that may result from various conditions and graphically displays these data. The bas is useful for studying systems of accident causes, for demonstrating the various ways to diminish fatalities, and for training employees.
