Description:The method is described for determining chlorodiphenyl, (42 percent chlorine) (53469219) in the air, including the principle, range and sensitivity, interferences, precision and accuracy, advantages and disadvantages, apparatus, reagents, calibration and standards, and calculations. The principle is based upon gas chromatography of a sample drawn through a glass fiber filter connected in series with a midget bubbler containing iso-octane. The range is 0.51-2.7 milligrams per cubic meter with a precision of 0.092 (coefficient of variation). The OSHA standard is 1 milligram per cubic meter (skin). [Description provided by NIOSH]
