• Description:
  A survey of a chrome plating facility (SIC-3471) was carried out for the purposes of familiarization with chrome plating operations, and obtaining preliminary environmental air measurements so that work environments with chromic-acid (7738945) exposure levels less than detailed industrial hygiene surveys. A total of 10 air samples, both personal and general area were taken for evaluation of chromic-acid. Wipe samples were collected from surfaces in the work environment and tested for hexavalent chromium (7440473). Ventilation measurements also were made in some areas. [Description provided by NIOSH]
