  Worker exposures to solvent vapors were determined at Jagar Studio (SIC-2751) in Long Island City, New York, on December 14, 15, and 19, 1978. The company was included in a NIOSH industrial hygiene survey to characterize the screen printing industry. Nineteen people were employed in the printing shop. Solvent concentrations were well within OSHA standards with the exception of 1 sample that was taken at the end of the shift when the screens were being cleaned. The author recommends better work habits and general awareness of the influential factors for improving safety, efficiency, and comfort of the worker. [Description provided by NIOSH]
