Description:Hazards associated with the men's apparel industry were surveyed on February 12, 1974, at H.A. Seinsheimer Company (SIC-2311) in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company employed 120 production workers. First aid treatment was provided by an on-site nurse. Materials used included wool and wool synthetic blends. No environmental measurements were made. Ventilation was provided by windows, and no significant dust quantities were seen. The author suggests characterization of airborne dust and lint, and ergonomic, temperature and humidity measurements in pressing areas. [Description provided by NIOSH]
