Description:Hazards associated with the men's apparel industry were surveyed on February 12, 1974, at Schaefer Tailoring Company (SIC-2311) in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company employed 120 people. First aid services were provided by an on-site nurse. Materials used included wool and wool polyester blends. No environmental measurements were made, but the facility appeared to be clean and free of dust. The author recommends characterization of any airborne dust or lint, and establishment of health and safety committees. [Description provided by NIOSH]
