  Worker exposures to acrylonitrile (107131) were determined at Vistron (SIC-2869) in Lima, Ohio on March 15, 1978. The company was under consideration for inclusion in a NIOSH study of the health effects of occupational acrylonitrile exposure. Approximately 165 of the employees at the facility were assigned to the production areas surveyed. Medical services were provided by an on staff physician and a registered nurse. Acrylonitrile concentrations ranged from undetectable to 40.5 parts per million. The author recommends that this facility not be included in the NIOSH study due to the complexity of the personal exposure, the age and size of the facility, and the small size of the study population.
