Description:Amputations are one of the most severe, debilitating injuries that can occur in the workplace. Unlike most other injuries suffered on the job, amputations can result in permanent damage and disfigurement, forcing workers to significantly adjust their lives physically and psychologically at work and at home. In most circumstances, work-related amputations (WRA) are preventable. Successful approaches for making workplaces safer begins with reliable data to better understand the health status of workers and the correctable risk factors on the job.
