Description:Every year on April 28, Workers' Memorial Day commemorates those who have died on the job. As we reflect on these tragedies, we continue our commitment to prevention. The California Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE) Program tracks and studies fatal occupational injuries throughout the year. The FACE Program investigates select fatalities and analyzes conditions that lead to fatal injuries at work. The program shares effective ways to prevent fatal injuries with employers, workers, and health and safety advocates. FACE's website provides educational materials, digital stories, and training materials for industries from construction to manufacturing to landscaping. Workers' Memorial Day events honor workers who died on the job and highlight efforts to prevent workplace deaths, illness, and injury. [Description provided by NIOSH]
