Description:The standard enthalpy of combustion of liquid cyclopropylamine, AHC deg (298.15 K), was found to be -(532.20 +/- 0.10) Kcal/mol by oxygen-bomb combustion calorimetry. The standard enthalpy of formation, AHF deg (298.15 K), of the liquid is (10.95 +/- 0.12) Kcal/mol. The enthalpy of vaporization was derived from vapor pressure measurements, and the standard enthalpy of formation in the ideal gaseous state was calculated. The value of the thermochemical bond energy, E(C--N), was estimated. [Description provided by NIOSH]
