Description:This report indicates that the recovery of aluminum from shredded automobile scrap rejects may be economically feasible providing the other salable components in the waste are also reclaimed. The process developed indicates that over one-half of the aluminum in automobile rejects and at least one-third of the aluminum in municipal wastes can be recovered. [Description provided by NIOSH]
