Students at the MS level who are prepared to take responsible positions in government or industry or to pursue further advanced study are accepted to the course. The complete curriculum is offered in the evening, with each course offered once each year, in an effort to serve those who are working full time. This report describes the program and faculty responsible for its development and administration. Areas of particular competence include comprehensive industrial hygiene, nonionizing radiation, air pollution control, industrial ventilation, air pollution measurement, water resources engineering, biological science, industrial safety, hazardous waste, comprehensive industrial hygiene, biohazards, biostatistics, epidemiology, and management. The program emphasizes training in the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of health hazards in work environments while grounding students in the application of basic scientific and engineering principles.
