Description:This presentation addressed the following topics: What is Nanotechnology? Health Risk from Nanoparticles? Are Nanoparticles Hazardous? What are the relevant exposure routes? How do we assess (measure) nanoparticle exposures? How do we distinguish incidental nanoparticles from engineered nanoparticles? Will Thermal Precipitators Come Back into Style? Questions that need answers: Are airborne nanoparticles present? Yes, almost always. At what concentrations? Usually higher than you think: Combustion ->heating, transportation, welding, etc.; Outdoor penetration (urban background, rush hour effect). Where did they come from?
