Description:During 2011-2017, 2,400 workers were injured and 158 died while operating an aerial lift. For proper use: 1. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. 2. Use proper fall protection. 3. Watch out for uneven ground, potholes, bumps, and debris that could cause the lift to tip over. 4. Close lift-platform chains or doors, and check guardrails. 5. Do not climb on or lean over guardrails. 6. Do not exceed the load limits. 7. Avoid contact with overhead hazards. Find out how much you know. Download the NIOSH Aerial Lift Hazard Recognition Simulator and select either the boom or scissor lift scenario. Join the Campaign to Stop Construction Falls! stopconstructionfalls.com.
