The Education and Information Division (EID) is part of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). EID uses a public health approach to develop and transfer information and provide recommendations to prevent occupational injuries and diseases. The division's activities include: 1. Developing and disseminating targeted information. 2. Conducting training research. 3. Developing qualitative and quantitative risk assessments. 4. Developing policy, technical, and educational documents. 5. Conducting translational research to evaluate the effectiveness of occupational safety and health programs. 6.
