Description:Technical performance criteria for recirculated exhaust air systems are outlined and the proceedings of a seminar assembled to review these criteria are outlined. The criteria reflects contaminant toxicity, the requirements for air monitoring and air cleaning equipment, reliability analyses of fail safe systems, and theoretical modeling of system performance. Topics covered by the seminar include: threshold limit values for toxic substances; cost effectiveness; performance standards; reengineering parameters that scientists and engineers would use in developing recirculation systems.
