Description:This document has compiled information to assist both states beginning an occupational health program and new personnel joining an existing occupational health program. The guide is formatted around the Guidelines for Minimum and Comprehensive State-Based Public Health Activities Occupational Safety and Health developed by the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) in 2008 (https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/docs/2008-148/pdfs/2008-148.pdf). These guidelines for activity at the state level were organized for beginning states, i.e., the minimum recommendations, and states interested in developing additional activity, i.e., comprehensive recommendations.
