Description:These tables of physical properties are the result of an extensive literature search that has been continued as part of the Bureau of Mines study of sulfur compounds in petroleum. This study, carried on cooperatively with American Petroleum Institute research project 48, was concerned with the types of sulfur compounds that have been found in petroleum, namely the thiols, sulfides, disulfides, and thiophenes. The tables include all of these compounds from c1 through c13 except those compounds that have atoms other than carbon, hydrogen, and sulfur. The literature from 1840 through 1955 was search for physical property data. Some previously unpublished data obtained by the Bureau of Mines are included. [Description provided by NIOSH]
