  The objectives of this three-volume report were to develop an annotated bibliography that included MSHA accident reports and periodicals, to gather data on nonreportable fires, and to conduct statistical analyses on the data to delineate trends for the period 1950-79. The data were acquired from periodicals, MSHA fire reports, and mine safety directors. Volume II contains a chronological list of mine fires and 15 indexes to assist in locating fire incident reports of interest. [Description provided by NIOSH]
