A computer program for use with the Holaday HI-3320 or Metrosonics dl-332 data logger

  A computer program for transfer of data from a Holaday HI-3320 or Metrosonics dl-332 data logger to the Microsoft disc operating system (MS DOS) computer and for analysis of the data was described. The program was developed to facilitate the analysis of workplace radiofrequency (RF) radiation measurements which were recorded continuously on a data logger. The original program was rewritten in subprograms and compiled in QuickBASIC 4.0, and required an MS DOS compatible computer with a minimum of 640 kilobytes of memory. Communication was between the RS232 serial port on the computer and the serial port on the data logger at 1200 baud. The program, DATALOG.EXE, made use of function keys and cursor pad and was mainly menu driven. Functions offered included help, default drive, data file directory, create new data file, view existing file, print file, plot graphics file, and exit. For more detailed statistical analysis, the data could be transferred in a standard text file to a separate statistics program. The complete program source code was presented. The authors conclude that the program assists in the assessment of compliance with occupational exposure standards for RF radiation. [Description provided by NIOSH]
