Description:Introduction: The term "exposure" has suffered from inconsistent and confusing usage in many fields including environmental and occupational health sciences (6). The concept of ergonomic exposure has also been difficult to define. There have, however been a number of ergonomic or physical exposure models presented (1, 2, 5). The aim of this paper is to present a model that addresses current concerns about exposure, unifies a variety of physical/ergonomic exposures and includes the concept of human behaviour.
