Description:Procedures and equipment are recommended for worker emergency egress from elevated workstations. The standard is designed to assure workers of a means of emergency egress during situations in which there could be a threat to life, health, or safety. Information is given on: the extent of exposure to elevated workstations; the effects of psychological stress on humans during the need for emergency egress; present equipment, standards, procedures and training evaluation; and the development of this standard.
