    NIOSH recommendations for an occupational exposure standard for inorganic mercury (7439976) include: air concentration of mercury, air sampling and analysis, medical examinations, posting areas where there is potential exposure to mercury, work clothing, personal protective equipment, apprisal of employees of hazards from inorganic mercury, work practices, sanitation practices, monitoring and recordkeeping. Biological effects of exposure to inorganic mercury are reviewed, and information is given on sampling, analytical methods, environmental levels, development of standards, work practices, sanitation, and compatibility with emission standards.
