  A national profile of agricultural accidents is necessary if an effective reduction program is to be achieved. To produce the profile, accident statistics are obtained by standardized techniques in a total of 22 states. A priority list of problems is based on severity and frequency of accident, and a search technique is developed using up to 20 variables. Family members account for 87 percent of all accidents, and falls are the most frequent cause of injury.
