In vitro lymphocyte responses in contact hypersensitivity.

  Lymphocyte responses are studied following sensitization to dinitrofluorobenzene (70348) (DNFB) by topical application by culturing lymphocytes in the presence of conjugates of DNFP and human skin. Data indicate that the method is quite effective in detecting contact sensitivity in strongly sensitive patients, but insensitive in weakly sensitized patients. Description provided by NIOSH
