• Description:
  Data from the Centers for Disease Control Occupational Safety and Health Adult Blood Lead Epidemiology and Surveillance program for the fourth quarter of 1992 were presented. The number of reports of elevated blood lead (7439921) levels in adults for 18 states were included. There were 2,939 reports of blood lead levels between 25 and 39 micrograms/deciliter (microg/dl) for the fourth quarter, bringing the cumulative number to 15,279 for the year of 1992. There were 703 reports of blood lead levels between 40 and 49microg/dl for the fourth quarter, bringing the cumulative number to 4,288 for the year. The 205 reports of 50 to 59microg/dl brought the cumulative total to 1,089 for the year and the 104 reports of blood lead levels at or exceeding 60microg/dl brought the yearly total to 585 at this level.
