Description:The standard air pollution control equipment in use is described, and listed and evaluated for comparison. The equipment includes mechanical separators, filtration devices, wet collectors, electrostatic preciptators, gas adsorbers, and combustion incinerators. Cost estimates, the physics and mechanics of the equipment, and characteristics of particles and particle dispersions are given. Federal air pollution legislation and control considerations are discussed briefly.
