Units contained in the module provide the following: background on industry needs for safety and health awareness on the part of all new engineering graduates
a description of the responsibility of the Unit Operations Laboratory Director to incorporate safety and health training in Unit Operations courses
the departmental safety and health program and its various functions
general safety rules
the sources and utilization of codified regulations and voluntary health and safety standards
the safety and health aspects required for unit operations laboratory courses in general
a general introduction to industrial hygiene
the responsibilities of the students during the planning and execution phases of Unit Operations Laboratory experimentation
