  Environmental survey, with medical questionnaire survey, medical examination, and skin tests on workers, and with skin tests on animals, to determine worker exposure to and possible ill effects of, vapors of Pitt-Glaze epoxy paint used by maintenance workers. Concentrations of solvent vapors, including stoddard solvent (8052413), cellosolve acetate (111159), and toluene (108883), are determined to be toxic during certain periods of normal operating conditions
  
  non-volatile components of the paint are determined to be non-toxic. Observed effects include nausea, headaches, dizziness, skin eruption, and burning of the eyes, nose, and throat. Recommendations are made for strict following of the accepted guidelines for use of epoxy materials, including provisions for adequate ventilation and use of personal protective gear.
